How bad does the mold problem outside of my home have to be
before I do something about it?

Here are some helpful hints.

The American College of Occupational and Environmental
Medicine states:

"Mold is the common term for multicellular fungi that
grow as a mat of intertwined microscopic filaments
(hyphae)."

"The presence of mold adversely affect human health
through three processes: allergy, infection and toxicity."

"Outdoor molds are generally more abundant and
important in airway allergic disease than indoor molds.
Allergic responses are most commonly experienced as
allergic asthma or allergic rhinitis - hay fever."

"A number of fungi commonly cause superficial infections involving the feet (tinea pedis), groin (tinea cruris), dry body
skin (tinea corporus), or nails (tinea onchomycosis)

"Persons with severely impaired immune function, e.g., cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, organ transplant
patients receiving immune suppressive drugs, and patients with uncontrolled diabetes, are at significant risk for more
severe opportunistic fungal infection."

Simply stated: The presents of mold has a adverse effect on our health. Mold can make you very sick and in some cases
can be the cause of death. However, for the majority of us living with mold more often is responsible for  the unexpected
soar, rash, sniffle, cold, cough, headache or just not feeling up to par.

It is not surprising to know that both indoor & outdoor molds result in what is commonly referred to as "sick buildings".

To reduce the mold health threat, mold must be controlled wherever it grows. Controlling exterior mold, reduces the tracking
of mold into your building/home thus assisting in controlling interior mold growth which in turn protects your employees,
customers and family. For Example: It rains, then the mold spores from the roof run onto the walkways and grass, your
children play and track the mold back into the house and onto the carpet. It's no surprise that kids get sick.

So, when should I remove the mold on the outside of my house? -
Immediately!
